So I fell asleep on the futon last night watching Mouse Hunt with some of the kids. (Don’t you just love the weekends?) I woke up hoping it had only been a couple of hours, but it had been all night. It was 4:45. The weathermen had said that it would be cloudy, completely cloudy. I looked out the window and saw stars and horizon clouds. An hour later, I was out the door. I had to get ready and look over my map to see where I wanted to go first. I ended up on Gwynn’s Island, at the NE part of our peninsula, for starters. I took some more shots with the Efke 25 film and got in a couple of sunrise shots; and then I drove around exploring and shooting for two more hours. It was a warm (low 60’s,) sunny, beautiful morning. I saw lots of daffodils and even a growth of buttercups. Buttercups in January!!
I’m glad I woke up when I did.
Now…take a guess, then have a good – no – a great week.
im jealous...u seem to have the best early mornings ever...i have no clue what this is, im guesisng its a peeled stalk but im not sure....lovely shot nonetheless..
It looks like part of a flower like from a lily without the pollen on it.
Impressive!
No idea, but it looks cool.
No clue....but excellent!!
looks like a macro of some kind...a part of a flower?
Hi Micki,
My guess is a bird of paradise, but I don't think I'm right. =)
Hey, I have 20 rolls of Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 36exp. B&W film just sitting here that I'm never going to use (don't own a film camera). If you want it, it's yours. Just e-mail me at natalie.minex@yahoo.com with an address and I'll ship it of to you. It's not doing me any good sitting here.
My guess would be the center of the lily without the tops of pollen. They are often removed. They stain things. Nice shot!
This one stumps me but I like the color and lighting. You really cover the ground in the early morning hours.
No idea!
Cool shot anyway....
Definitely looks floral, but I can't venture a guess more specific than that - glad to hear the unseasonable warmth is still being enjoyed somewhere, as things are beginning to get crispy up here in New England!
Lovely image, no clue as always ;-)
Definitely from a plant species!
