If you would like a true photographic print of any of my images, please contact me at goodiesbaker@yahoo.com and I will be happy to provide you with one.

A heartfelt thanks for all of your very kind comments on yesterday’s photo. If I didn’t have dial up I’d thank all of you personally like so many bloggers do, but I can’t. Anyway, I wasn’t particularly thrilled with the photo I posted, and didn’t even check my comments all day yesterday. So, you all really put a smile on this photographer’s face this morning when I read your compliments. Thank you.

Today’s shot is of the Foster Post Office. It sits at the cross roads of Rt. 14 and 660. There is only room for a couple of cars at a time to pull in and pull right out again and yet while I was there many customers showed up. I had a hard time getting my shots in with all of their vehicles coming and going. I had mine pulled as far up as possible so as not to get into the frame. I did get to say Hi to the friendliest folks, too, as they came and went.

The NO PARKING sign belongs to the yard that sets right next to the post office. My guess is that folks use their drive way when the lot at the post office is filled.

Micki. I like the sky, clouds and fall colours in this one. I notice that you used a wide angled lens and that you have the same effect in your photo that I get with my 17-35mm lens ... that is, that part of the image on the edges tend to look 'turned up'. I'm sure there's a technical term for this but I don't know it.

What a find! I love small post offices such as this. The building is so inviting, unlike the "cloned" post offices that seem to be taking over.
