Well, I learned from last month’s full moon shots and I was out there shooting this morning again. Hopefully I’ll be able to get out tonight and tomorrow and maybe Thursday morning before the clouds and rain move in. I’ve found some wonderful locations in the past month to shoot by the light of the moon.
This shot is from the end of the road I live off of. It was so foggy that morning, but the kids had school work to do, so we couldn’t go out shooting. I went down the road and took a few shots as the sun was getting high in the sky. The fog was very thick and all the colors were gone, so I added on a pink filter to warm the scene up a bit. The filter was from a set of Cokin filter where you can snap in a different color filter ranging from light pink to purple and all the shades of the rainbow in-between.
Looks like the pink worked well to warm up this scene.
Lovely peaceful, calm, and quiet shot.
This is wonderful. The tree branches frame the dock really well and the pink filter gives it the touch of color that the fog is usually lacking.
Beautiful shot, love it!
Lovely shot, Micki. That looks like a place where I'd like to go, remove my shoes, dip my feet into the water, and do a bit of fishing! Very peaceful and lovely.
the pink works really well micki...lovely shot....
coming back from the new years eve party the other took me nearly an hour and half, whereas the distance is barely 15 minutes, the roads were empty and all i could see was the bonnet of the car,and all around the car it was just WHITE,the car didnt go above 10km/h the whole time...! it was the scariest experience ever.. i HATE FOG....! haha,
anyhow happy new year....!
You've done it again Micki. I really like this dream-like picture. The framing and whole composition are wonderful. I think this would make a wonderful notecard.
Very beautiful, Micki. Nice job!
Seems like everyone but me has fog lately I'm way jealous.
Adorable, magical, mist. The subtle filter has added just the right amount of warmth to this peaceful scene. One of the best, I’d say.
Very nice. I admire anyone with the patience to use a filter, this was definitely a good selection. Nicely composed too, with the branches providing the framing.
Awesome picture, and a great choice on the filter! What a beautiful spot!
This is beautiful, what a peaceful location.
Happy new year!!
easily one of th best ive seen from you...there are no flaws and it just has that amazingly mysterious intangible air about it...
I adore this one Micki. I agree it has to be one of your best.
Here's wishing you perfect light for 2007.

Love it. This is b-e-a-u-tiful.
Micki. This is such a beautiful shot... so mysterious. I love the effect of the filter and the trees and grass framing the image. And I love fog photographs!
Beautiful. It looks so peaceful & quiet.
This really is wonderful shot Micki. The colors are gorgeous.
Very peaceful shot. Well composed and exposed. Love all the foreground details.
What a lovely shot, Micki, you need a poem to go with that.

Gorgeous and moody at the same time. That's quite a feat...and this is quite a photo. Well done.
Superb work, Micki! All the variables are there. Has to be one of my favorites.
Beautiful !
This is so nice! Love the light and the angle. Such beautiful spot.
Happy New Year Micki, May your year and your family be filled with loads of love, laughter and fun.
Yeah Suby back a little to meet this awesome awesome shot you have here, WOW WOW WOW... I am more than impressed, composition is "tight" ( perfect), the lighting is so sublime I wish I took this shot.
You know what I really do think this is one of your "bestest" images ever. Really loving this image with each second I look at it. What a way to start the New Year, wow wow wow.
You get a well deserved "I LIKEY" from the Subster for this awesome shot. I duff my virtual hat of to you Lady Micki, trully awesome.
A creative photographer you are! This is a very tranquil looking place. If this was at the end of my road I would probably never leave without a camera in hand. Happy New Year!
Brilliant shot, this could easily go on a calendar for 2007.
Great call on the pink filter - really does add quite a bit of 'body' to that elusive fog...
