I took this on a very chilly morning back in November. The sunrise wasn’t much to speak of, so I turned my camera in the opposite direction to see what I could see. This is what I saw, a ship waiting for the light to come up so that she could raise her sails and set off out onto the Bay. I shot this down in Yorktown on Riverwalk Landing very close to the bridge.
Stunning shot! I love these ships, they are just so wonderful to see.
Wonderful ship. It looks like a very peaceful morning on the bay.
great shot
I'm absolutely loving the extra dynamic range that's being revealed in your images by the new scanner!
nice shot micki,
i know i dont visit as often as i should, and the exams are kinda keeping me busy,
but everytime i do visit i'm stunned,
another LOVELY shot...!
the new scanner's really working well eh...!
love the tones...
That is such a great shot! I love the boat sitting there. Excellent colors, too!
Somehow, there is a sense that the boat is eager to be under way now that the day is about to begin. Feels more than just a photograph, more like an event.
What a nice looking ship I wouldn't mind being on it.
another lovely sunrise, micki. isn't it amazing how the colors change in an instant.
It's always good to look behind you. Most times there is some beautiful light, as in this case! Great shot, Micki!
Beautiful scene, Micki. Glad you turned around. :-)
Beautiful. I've seen lots of sunsets, but I don't often see the sunrise. Not like I can see much here where I'm at anyway.
Beautiful colors and I like how the lights are still on. I'm sure you are loving that new scanner!
Great work again Micki :D
you'll never find me trying to catch the sun rising!!! great shot, I like the colour very muchly!
You have a large portfolio of wonderful images! I really like the pastel colors you captured here.
nice and tranquil! Have a great holiday and all the best!
Beautiful image with a very "period" appearance. This boat looks like it could have been photographed anytime in the last 70 years or so. Very nice.
