No nappin’ yesterday. I took some macro shots, and spent a lot of time finishing the kids’ gifts shopping. I did over 50% on line this year. I had already done some purchases at the store and on line, but last night it was time to finish it up. I just need to pick up a couple of things at the store this week and then it’s on to wrapping. I hate the wrapping, but I am good at it. Gifts for five kids will do that for you. I am a procrastinator by nature, though, so I’m usually wrapping literally at the last minute. There have been times in the past when the kids were waiting on me to wrap only to open the gifts five minutes later. So I got to bed around quarter to eleven and dreamt of skunks all night. We had a skunk and an opossum in the yard last night. The house still stinks this morning. I swear it must have slept under the front porch.
I was up at 5:00 to go out today. (That’s when I noted that the skunk must have been under the porch.) The oldest insisted on going with me. This child is typical teen, loves to sleep, so that shows you how much she was worried about me. At 8:30 I asked her if she wasn’t sorry she came with me. She said she was just thinking about how worried she’d be if she were at home waiting on me. (Like she would’ve even been up.) I said, “C’mon! You saw what I was up to this morning, what I do when I’m out. Doesn’t that reassure you so you don’t have to worry any more?” She came back with, “Standing and crouching in the middle of street to take pictures?! No, that doesn’t reassure me.” I know her ulcer is forming as we speak. She’s too practical for a 15 ½ year old, and yet just scatter-brained enough that she’s not getting her driver’s permit yet. ;o)
So, it’s time for another Take a Guess.
You know I am rubbish at these gueses, by the way forgotten what the image looked liked an just too lazy to open another window :)

Fantastic, lujazo of photo, not that him DAS to you camera. Greetings.
Could it be a cracker! Maybe a Ritz.
Ooh! Ooh! I know this one! That's a Ritz cracker. What? I'm not the first to guess it? Darn it.
At first I thought that it was some type of waffle, but the holes are too small. I'm going to guess with the rest, a Ritz cracker. Those look like salt crystals to me.
BTW, your daughter is just like my older son. When my wife and I would go out to a movie, he would time how long it took us to get to the movie, factor in time for previews, the length of the movie, and the drive home. If we weren't home within a 5 minute window, he would call us on the cell phone to see if everything was alright!
He's still a worry wort, but now he's in college and has his own list of worries besides when his parents are coming home! :-)
I'm guessing cracker as well.
Hmm I'll guess some kind of cracker but I don't know the specific.
for once i think i know .....
and i am way too late ... boehoeheo :-(
luckily my wife takes care of gifts and(!) of wrapping but i have done my duty.... and on the pretext of taking some pics i bought the one present i have to take care of ....(and got it wraped in the store)
anyway have a nice holiday season
Well it looks like a cracker with the salt on it, like so many others have said.
My 16 year old was supposed to get his permit last June (NJ is 16 for a permit 17 to get the provisional license). But he's not ready yet for much the same reason you mentioned for your daughter. They would probably get along great!!!
Perhaps because i'm hungry , I think that is a cake with sugar....
I'm going with the Ritz. You should give your daughter a camera and see what she comes up with:).
Wonderfully indeterminate shot today! I'll go along with the power of suggestion and also go with the venerable Ritz cracker - mmmm...buttery goodness :-)
Tena koe ehoa
Usually I'm about as good at these as a skunk under a house! 8)
But I reckon I might know this ione Micki?
I'm gonna say a cracker biscuit. If it's anything like the Arnotts cheese cracker I'm munching on now, it's a tasty one too!
But I'm thinking that one might have a salt flava?
I was going to say apple pie, but then those would be very large specs of sugar... I'll go with a cracker (cheated and read the other comments haha!)
Your daughter has been raised really well :)
maybe cookie? or biscuit? nice macro shot great detail on the sugar flake...i like the narrow dof here also:-)
Maybe it's broiled cheese?
I am really bad at this...
Hope you have a grand week!!!

My first reaction was the same as anonomous', it looks like bubbling cheese or maybe scrambled eggs. Or should I say Ritz crackers like the rest?
LOL I love it! I don't think I would be reassured either LOL but then again I have been the one crouched in the middle of the street LOL
got to love teens!
I still need to get a few stocking stuffers for the boys and I'm done with them!
I too hate wrapping uggggggg. I have done the up tell 2 or so in the am on christmas eve to do the wraping I procrastinated so long lOL
Ok my guess, I'm thinking the surface of that waffle cereal, I can not think of the name of it hehe.
Biscuit!
Well, I cannot ignore all the inspired guesses above and run with a garlic pizza bread so I’ll hafta take the Ritz or Tuc route. No wonder the WMD were so difficult to ID.
that's a cake!?
looks like the top of a pizza to me...
My original thought was focaccia, but after reading the other comments, I think I may be wrong. =)
america pie ? :)
