So last night I got to go out on my own for an hour and a half to scout out someplace to shoot. My oldest, the one that worries about me constantly, almost didn’t let me go alone. But her MP3 wasn’t fully charged and not having her tunes would’ve made things too boring, so she stayed home. I told her I’d be home at 5:30. I had a couple of places in mind that I wanted to check out and landed at the second one first. It was a fine location, but not one of those you can return to often, only now and then as the seasons and lighting change. Still, close to home and that’s a good thing. Took some more shots with the film I’m testing and right as I was about to go home I met a fine older fisherman. He was coming in to do some fishing and we were talking about this and that. I was about to leave when I thought to ask him about location #1 that I never made it to. I had been there before and wasn’t sure if it had become private property or not. I figured this man would know and he did. As I was packing up all the lenses and filters I’d used, my polarizer was stuck on one of my lenses. Oh I turned and turned and turned…you know how that one goes with those filters. I slapped another filter on top of that and it came right off. But of course, I had wasted time. When I was about five minutes from home, I pictured the Worrier beginning to worry, so I grabbed my phone. Sure enough, at 5:35 my phone starts ringing…”Where are you Mom?” That kid is going to have an ulcer by time she’s 17. Couldn’t get the shot I wanted later that night because the clouds moved in, but maybe Tuesday.
OK, It’s time for another Take a Guess. I cropped this one down by half to make it more difficult. Gotta make you all work once in awhile, right?
Enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of the season and have a great week!
i have stared at this for ages, i am on the phone trying to get through to a satellite TV installation engineer, they took my money in under 5 minutes but to make an appointment to get it installed i have waited 23 mins so far. i think they may be about to lose a customer. Anyway still no idea, looked candle like at 1st but now it doesnt, i am guessing seasonal but no idea.
This reminds me of pegs on a plastic building block...
thats actually quite touching...pretty sure this is lego...
You've stumped me yet again. The colors are really nice in an abstract way though.
The colors go well together. I'm thinking a red lego.
Great story today.
As for the image? I would go with the lego, or the larger, non-lego building blocks. Outside of that, I have no clue! :)
Legos!? I used to have an amazing collection of these then one day they just disappeared. Bummer.
Yes, very intriguing.
Must be Lego! ;-) Nice one.
No idea, but love the red in it.
I'm thinking ... a couple of red candles. That's all that I can come up with!
Lego? Whatever it is it looks really cool.
looks a bit like lego, but lego blocks aren't usually hollow..
nice colors in this shot:-) have no idea what is? part of toy, made by plastic
i would have guessed leggo until i saw the "hollow" comment - but who cares anyway; i never get it right!!
I quickly throw the towel in, me really bad at this :) But since me a cheat and read all what every has said, me go for legos LOL
Your oldest cracks me up, worried about naughty mummy, last time I checked it was supposed to be the other way round :)
Suby
Is it some type of plastic bottle? Nice colourfull abstract whatever it is ;-)
lifesaver candies!!!
Lovely reds. Either a lego or a candle.
The reds and yellows are in fusion. Very nice shot.
