Thanks for the help with yesterday’s bird identification. After looking up cormorant on the internet, that is definitely the bird I saw. ag mentioned the birds spreading their wings out to dry due to their lack of oil glands. I took a couple shots of the cormorant I saw early yesterday morning doing just that. Mystery solved, and now I can move on!
A couple of months ago, I posted a horizontal versionof these stamen from a flower at the park. Now that I’ve been going through all of my photos, I found this vertical shot of the same flower, which I like better than the earlier post. So, before I file this shot away, I thought I’d scan it and post it for today.
beautiful curve and color contrast here:-)
love the light on that purple....8/10
this is beautifull
reminds me immediately of the work of a Georgia O’Keeffe
i like the soft quality of the light around the center of the photo. your macro shots are really inspiring :)
The purple and yellows are fantastic.
Regards,
Jason
I think this is one of my favourites of yours...
Very nice detail and the background blur is soft and effective.
lovely macro.
GReat color and composition. I like the curved lines. Good shot!!
It is a beautiful shot and your scanner did a good job of rendering it! :-) What's on your Christmas list? New scanner? Lensbaby? Digital ... nah, never mind, cuz! ;-)
The purple is so deep and rich. Just lovely.
Lovely shot, Micki. Very nice curve and color.
Superb macro shot. Great use of DOF and nice detail.
I remember the landscape version which was good but this is better in showing the eager curves of the stamens.
Beautiful!!!!!!!
Micki. Beautiful soft focus with great colours. Do you believe that purple colour?
