Thanks for the help with yesterday’s bird identification. After looking up cormorant on the internet, that is definitely the bird I saw. ag mentioned the birds spreading their wings out to dry due to their lack of oil glands. I took a couple shots of the cormorant I saw early yesterday morning doing just that. Mystery solved, and now I can move on!

A couple of months ago, I posted a horizontal versionof these stamen from a flower at the park. Now that I’ve been going through all of my photos, I found this vertical shot of the same flower, which I like better than the earlier post. So, before I file this shot away, I thought I’d scan it and post it for today.
