Yesterday the offending tree (a dead oak) that dropped the branch that crashed through my van window came down. My husband decided it, the dead oak next to it and the barely alive maple on the other side had to go. All three towered at least two stories over our two story house. He did this all on his own with a chainsaw and some steel cable type stuff. When the second tree fell, it shook everything. Half way through cutting down the third, it started to pour down rain. Of course, he couldn’t let the tree just stand there, halfway cut through. So, he kept on working. Right after it came down, the rain stopped. Go figure. Well, at least his clothes got rinsed off before he brought them in; they were covered with saw dust and wood bits. These three trees were right in front of the house. A fourth that leans toward the driveway will have to wait until another day. Today he has to study. Midterm tests are only a couple weeks away.
Take a guess!
Glad he was able to get the tree's down safely! We have 2 in our back yard that need to come down too! uggg.
Lets see I have 2 guesses
1) a door open on to a blue wall
2) a white peace of paper next to a blued peace of construction Or poster paper.
OH and I'm the first poster WOOHOOO! don['t think that has ever happen on your blog LOL
Hmmm, looks like the edge of a wall and the sky.
Hey! How come I get the hard words to type in: zfjfenhf
Its not lumpy gravy thats for sure!
wheeeeee
Is this one one with the Holga? Anyway, I love it - simple, and atmospheric - it kind of reminds me of a painting from the 1960s. Anyway, I like it.
when will you tell us?
you will tell us right?
its a building and the blue is the sky.
Hmmm...looks like carpet against a textured floor. You got me!
I agree with tuan. I think it is a building against blue sky.
nice juxtaposed shot and composition...i guess is part of wall or corner of the building:-)
Is it a concrete wall against a blue sky?
Thanks for the comment :)
I have two big trees in front of my house too. I keep waiting for them to fall and crush me!
As for the photo, I'm guessing a concrete pier over water...
Looks like a wall against the blue sky.
I shall hafta run with a wall against the sky. Sounds like you will see more sky now those trees are down . . what plans for the wood from those, I wonder?
very graphical, love it!
interesting shot :) I wwould say it's an edge of an white house and a blue sky but the sky looks so structured? I'm not sure :)
Methinks that this is an example of one of my favorite genres: building tops and corners. Wonderfully simple abstraction, whatever it might be!
Either the corner of a concrete rendered wall against a blue sky but more likely the side of a concrete step with blue vinyl on the step.
it's too obvious surely to be a building corner - but it could be a low down shot of a concrete step against the sky?
