Yesterday I drove just over 90 miles exploring the farthest east side of our peninsula. There are many locations I want to check out for sunrises, full moon rises, and such; but they are in such remote locations that I didn’t feel comfortable driving there in the dark, wee hours of the morning if I didn’t know where I was going. So now I do. It was so quiet and so peaceful out there, and the waters of the Chesapeake Bay were beautiful! And I got to see pelicans. That was way cool. I saw dozens of some other large shorebird as well that I have yet to identify.
This is one of the two large frogs that were ‘rescued’ by my daughter after Ernesto blew through a few weeks ago bringing down several trees in our yard. He is so cute!!
Oh, and speaking of falling trees, I got my van back yesterday after twelve days in the shop. Looks good. And no more trees left by where I park it to drop their limbs down upon my ride again.
what a cute little guy over here. hey eyes are really pupping out.
p.s. congrats on getting your van back :)
Cool eyes on this fella. Beautiful shot.
creepy-freaky-cute....7/10
Glad to know you had your van back, Micki. We just had typhoon earlier today in Manila. Trees were uprooted and zync roof were flying. Pretty scary.
Cute little creature you have there. :-)

What a buggy looking frog! Those eyes would make a great close-up Micki.
WOOHOOOO you got your Van back!!!
Was the other large bird a Great Blue Herring? they are pretty tall birds!
I was reading someplace that there are over 5,000 species of frogs and toads. Could be they are all headed your way now the croak has got round! This little critter is another beaut and his eyes are absolutely great.
Love the little friend for the aquarium!
He's a cutie, and lucky that you rescued him. Great pix!
Come on over to NM. We never have "Ernestos". Just dry and clear.

What a cute frog. That slouchy sock guy is my friend Chad. He's a funny guy and often has me cracking up. Ill mention that you like his style. I see him twice a week. Hope your well. Aaron (moeview.com)
Finally!!! Another toad shot! I love the toad shots, and this is no exception. He's so ... uh ... cute! :-)
I'm sure that this guy has never been happier. He's probably so happy that he could croak! I know, bad pun, but what can I say?! ;-)
i like the strong directional lighting. obvious and bold!!
What eyes! Great shot, have a great weekend!!
Love the side light here - and those eyes!
Stop shining that light in his face ! Boy did he just get a fright or what? Such big eyes!... all the better to see you with.
