CRITTER DAY THURSDAY -- Duck in the Early Morning Light

Having one of those weeks where I can barely keep my head above water. All my plans for vacation are now proving to be pie-in-the-sky too high. Oh well, it is what it is. Still having a good time off, and I think we’ll be ready to get back to the home schooling when it’s over.

This is one of those shots from that Sunday morning at the park I had in May or early June.

Camera - Konica Minolta 70
Film - Kodak Gold ISO 400
Shutter Speed - 1/350
Aperture Setting - f-13 Manual Mode
Lens - Sigma 170-500mm zoom lens
Scanning Method - My scan from my cheap little hp officejet 5510v all-in-one copy/scanner/faxer/printer

Things I’m Thankful to Cliff For… Giving me a big ‘ole truck inner tube to float around in the water instead.

I hate when plans don't work out as you want them to. Same thing happened here as well...very disheartening, but we just have to make the best of it.

I love the duck it's a beautiful composition.

I love ducks, they are so pretty and give you a sense of peace when you watch them swim.

One of your finest, micki - sorry to hear that the vacation pieces haven't quite all been falling into place.

The larger version looks even better like an illustration.

This is the kinda perfect shot that comes along only rarely and leaves you wondering why something so simple does not happen all the time. Classic image.

wow. one of the better and more artistic silhouette shots I've seen in a while. Would have been wonderful if the duck was side on, but thats just me. Great shot.

Micki

I love the duck sillouete (spelling?).

I know just what you mean about plans going astray. I've had a week in bed with a very bad virus just as my long-awaited week in Queensland arrives! I won't be going when I intended to go but I WILL go even if just for a few days. And I will get some beach-side photos and I will enjoy whatever warmth the weather makes available. Enjoy the rest of your break!
