Today’s Take a Guess has special significance. I’ll let you know tomorrow when I reveal the answer to the mystery.
King Midas's clothes pin (or stapler, can't decide but I think it's the clothes pin because I can still see King M's detergent bubbles behind it).

I have some jewelry with clasps that look like this.
I couldn't open the larger version for some reason so I couldn't get a closer look.
Lovely colors, really pretty.
i had no clue so i read everyone elses. yes, i'm a cheater. i'd have to go with the jewelry clasp, and i'm inclined to think it's a piece for a man.
Could it be a one hole paper punch?
It looks like the background is gold rope or chain. so perhaps a jewellery clasp, although it looks too substantial for that. Maybe something for curtain rails?...
