It’s Critter Day Thursdays!
Found this guy sleeping on my bedroom window screen. Took some shots of him, thought he was dead. Then he started moving around. I popped him in the fridge for a bit to slow him down again. Well, he slowed way down. So, I got this shot of him sleeping on his back. After he came around, I set him free into the warm sunshine.

Nice to know he made it back outside! Superb details.
So you obviously trained your bug to roll over and play dead...can you get him to beg, too? (As in "I'm begging you to let me out of this fridge"). Har har.
cool bug!
Hahah, that's so funny - first the bee, then this guy. I wonder what else you have in your fridge... Just teasing you ;). Great shots!!
Great shots, very illustrative. I really like the DoF on these.

Impressive photo, hits, good colors. Greetings
I’m so glad he recovered and went on his way. I thought he was a gonner in the second pic. Thanks for keeping photography human, Micki - even if it is with a bug today!
The 2nd shot with him sleeping on his back...BEAUTIFUL...lol there' something about it..."Popping him in the fridge to slow him down"...best line ever...Love the stories that comes with your photos ;)
Love the macro shots! Creepy critter!
Yaiks! A bug's life. Fun shots.
disgusting creatures...first photo is a nice macro...
I find this so amusing. The one where he is on his back, reminds me of a cartoon. Great shots, funny story!
Better watch out though, you might get PETA after you! LOL
really funny
Well Micki some days I don't know what to say..today is one of those days.I just shake my head.
Well, I hope he didn't get scrunched under that digger thingy we saw in your previous posts!
You're just too kind. He plays "dead" well doesn't he ?
GROSS! I hate bugs. I find it interesting that you "experimented" on him and then sent him on his way... very funny, and great idea for a couple of shots!
God, I thought you had killed him, hehehe. Excellent macro. I like the soft colors and the combination of pictures!Great.
Micki I would like to send you an email but I can´t find it.
Don't be sorry Micki :o)

Suby
Very cool!
Lol poor fellow.Stunning macros though I would've preferred a white backgorund love the little guy.GREAT SHOT!
eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwww hate bugs, nicely captured details Micki, well done
cool shot! (poor bug...)
I was exchanging cruelty to bug stories with a friend of mine yesterday (since our respective sons are now at that age) and he use to catch bees with film containers, stick them in the fridge, then tie dental floss to a leg and when they wake up they would buzz around in some fashion
Beetle on its back - what a keeper shot!
Nice depth, given the tight parameters of the shot.
