Macro Mondays - Purple Wildflowers and Morning Dew

It’s Macro Mondays! I threw in the dew drops just for fun. I found those all the way down by the roots of the grass in our yard.

Good work on yesterday’s guessing game. It was, indeed, the place where the handle bars attach to my sons’ trike.

I’m running late. I’m taking pictures of the new baby my friend had a few weeks ago. Wish me luck. This is my gift to her.

The dewdrops are great. Are they on a spidersweb or something because they look suspended in mid-air? They are so sharp, at the start I thought they were on your lens!

Pretty colors, and the defocusing of the bottom you have had left very well.

I'm still trying to figure out the dew drops. Were they on your lens? Looks like they're just hovering there.

Usually I don't make a second comment, but here goes it:

I had been using a rice bag to balance the camera on to shoot little bitty, teeny tiney flowers in the grass. I noticed the rice bag had sprung a leak. While looking at all the rice in the grass, I noticed way down deep in the grass a tiny little web of some sort with all the night's moisture still on it. No drops on the lens. I had to take two of the extension tubes off to get this shot. I wanted to get closer with more extension tubes on the lens, but by then the lens was shading the drops.

Good composition on the macros. The dew drops do take the cake; the illusion that they're suspended in mid-air catches the eyes.

The dew drop image is stunning in the large size - the drops look like they're just hovering, since the web is so fine and nearly invisible. An array of tiny lenses set before your own lens :-)
