Foggy Morning One

So, the other morning I had mentioned I was going out to shoot some foggy morning photos. This is one of those that I took, just as the fog was about to lift. I was lucky that these two geese happened to be out on the water. I’d not seen them down there before at anytime of the day. Usually they just fly overhead from their evening hang out to their day time hang out. So, they gave me something to point my lens at besides just grass. There was a fisherman out there as well, and I shot him, too. Well, with my Minolta. This was taken with some ISO 800 I had in the camera for the flighty birds and squirrels I was shooting earlier. I might have this blown up large, I’m hoping for some nice grain that will go well with the fog, not enough in the little 4x6 print I got back.

I do have a ‘Take a Guess’ photo for Sunday again, if you can make it back then…have a go at it.

Have a great weekend, all!

Oh I love some foggy mornings. Any time I get the chance to go out on a foggy morning, I do. This is a great shot. I like where you positioned the geese. Man this picture really has a great calm morning feel to it. Wonderful job, really.

It's great to see the geese coming back. It means the warm weather is right behind them! Nice one!

One of these mornings I'll need to venture out for this sort of quiet spectacle - the geese look like they're about to convene a morning meeting :-)

I love fog shots. I don't get too many opportunities to shoot in the fog here.

Lovely.

Oh, if you want some geese, we have PLENTY to spare here! In fact they have literally fouled the water in the pond in the park down the street from my house. They are a BIG problem around here.

Micki I so enjoy visiting your site!It has become a daily activity for me. I get inspiration from viewing your world through your photographs. Still a novice, I look for those "picture moments".Getting down on our knees or throwing ourselves to the floor in the search for the perfect picture - a worm's eye view has lots of good uses.

the colours are beautiful. I don't know how you can stand to wait for the film to be developed. If my pictures turned out like that, there's no way I could wait to see them.

Nice "moody" picture. Also, I commend you on getting the geese in the shot. Having spent a lot of time with birds recently, I know how hard it can be.
