The goal is at least one shot a Day. So, at the end of the afternoon on this day, I decided to try to get that one shot in before starting supper. This is the third of three I took. I stopped down all the way to f-22 on this last one. The first two at f-8 were too limited, in my opinion, in the dof to make the shots work…not to mention I didn’t like the composition. Thank goodness for the DOF preview button. Almost as good as shooting digital, eh folks?? ;o) so here’s my shot of the day. Can you tell what it is? Shouldn’t be too difficult.
So, I discovered at 8:30 last night that my site had been down since around 11:30 in the morning yesterday…shoot. I guess I should pay more attention. Blogger gave a lot of us trouble yesterday. I got my site up after about 15 minutes of messing around. Thanks to all who came back last night or who go back today to check out yesterday’s post.

I like the way the light hits the bumps.

We have lots of different balls at my house as I'm sure you do! Basketball for sure! You could do a series...soccer,tennis,baseball...I love the colors in this shot. Great dof.

I would say its a basketball for sure! Great shot though.
We have lots of these around the house, so this is an easy one for me. It's a basketball.
(If it turns out that I am wrong I will feel really foolish.)
Great shot.

Reckon it has been guessed by now but it's masquerading as a Fly's eye :-)

Hi Micki, thanks for your comments on my blog!! Nice basketball!!
My visit to your blog is VERY LONG overdue Micki...for that I apologize. I spent the last 1/2 hour looking at the shots in your archives and I am very impressed with what I saw! Some great stuff, and the fact that it's all done on film is amazing.
Also, thank you for adding my blog to you list of links! I am honoured and would be happy to do the same with this site. Keep up the great work!

basketball. i hate basketball but this is a good shot!!
That's easy. It's a BASKETBALL! And the rubber variety, which is generally heavier and more suited for outdoor courts. Why would anyone hate basketball? ;)
Very Cool shot. You nailed it, great texture and light.
very nice abstract with cool dark tones which give a lot of depth.
I´m a big fan of a detailed view to things, so there is no doubt about the fact that i love this one too. The colours came out very nice. Great.
Cool texture! I like the detail in the dimples!
Donncha
somethign tells me its a basketball! tough work shooting at such a small aperture, but you've pulled it off nicely!

That is an easy one, as soon as I saw it I knew it was a basket ball. Cool Macro
OK, it's a basketball, I made it too easy. I've got a trickier one in the works.
So, Blogger is down...again, I can't post today's picture right now. Going to try again later. Hope you'll come back, I've got some good news to share!
Fantastic lighting and texture! Great colors and depth of field. Excellent work!
