Another Day's End

Went down to the park for a sunset back in January during a warm spell. The sunset turned out to be average, so I did a lot of these kind of shots instead. Nothing special, just making use of time while the kids played. I actually spent most of my time up on a picnic table - tripod and all -- shooting.

It's a simple composition with a lot of depth, if that makes sense. Love the warm color.

Very nice! It's different than the usual sunset shot, and I like to see that. I like you you've chosen to limit your depth of field to the branch.

Great utilisation of time Micki, which in itself is an indictaion of the thinking that goes into your images. Not merely content with the obvious usual sunset image you look to create new and interesting ways of looking at, and seeing what there is to look at.

It's a beautiful shot Micki. i disagree with JX that the branches should be sharper. In photography, sometimes less is more. The displaced focus softens the outlines and makes them blend in with the brilliant sunset colours. That's what i love here.
