Went down to the park for a sunset back in January during a warm spell. The sunset turned out to be average, so I did a lot of these kind of shots instead. Nothing special, just making use of time while the kids played. I actually spent most of my time up on a picnic table - tripod and all -- shooting.

BEAUTIFULL
It's a simple composition with a lot of depth, if that makes sense. Love the warm color.
love the way this makes me feel!
Beautiful shot. Makes me think of a beautiful dawn in one of these artsy fartsy movies or cartoons :)
Nice shot to make me temp forget that I feel like crap at the moment (flu coming on). Thanks :)
nicely framed, great mood.. but it would haven been perfect if the branch is sharper eh.. ;p
My goodness, Micki, that is lovely. I love the effects you are able to obtain.
Great sunset.
Neat shot!
thank u for sharing this picture. it makes me calm:)
really beautiful!!!! :D
Very nice! It's different than the usual sunset shot, and I like to see that. I like you you've chosen to limit your depth of field to the branch.
Tena koe ehoa
Great utilisation of time Micki, which in itself is an indictaion of the thinking that goes into your images. Not merely content with the obvious usual sunset image you look to create new and interesting ways of looking at, and seeing what there is to look at.
A lovely clean and simple composition which produces such a calming and resfull image.
Nice shot, simple and strong.
nice dof and composition of silhoulette..simple but powerful color contrast:-)
Fantastic colour. Lovely capture.
Nice colors and contrast.
Beauty in simplicity! Georgeous sunset..
WoW, veeeeeeeeery beautiful, makes me feel so nice...peaceful :)
It's a beautiful shot Micki. i disagree with JX that the branches should be sharper. In photography, sometimes less is more. The displaced focus softens the outlines and makes them blend in with the brilliant sunset colours. That's what i love here.
I like the blurred sunset in the background! cheers :)
oh, i love this. very nicely done. limb in focus with the background blurred. good.
Beautiful blurring!
this is lovely.
cool shot. Very ominious.
Just superb!
This is nice! A different take on a sunset shot.
