The picture of the younger me at 19 was taken in the restroom of traffic court, where we were married, Friday, February 27, 1987. No money, no big wedding, no professional photographer...just two kids without a clue.
The second photo is a self-portrait I did in November. Konica Minolta 70 TMax 400 1/30 f-8 Aperture Mode Minolta 50mm lens, using the self-timer. I took three, cut my head off the first two times. I almost didn't shoot the third, glad I did.
I really like the idea of the now and then theme. THe B & W image is good especially as there was no one behind the lens :-). I like the little detail of the leaf on the step. Haven't been brave enopugh for self portraits yet still hiding behind the camera :-)
nice to meet you!
Wow, what a way to summarize your life. Happy Anniversary, may the best be yet to come.
Miki,
Happy anniversary!
You have made me think of my wedding... no more than 8 people present, no church, no photographer... but we had so much love we just didn't care. :o)
P.D. Thanks for the link, I hope you continue visiting. Will post at least 5 days/week 9sundays are usually 100% family time)
Thanks.
lets not forget one nice looking camera as well.
Wow Micki! I love this. Your self portrait is beautiful. Very nicely done. On a personal level, very touching post today. Congratulations on your anniversary!
Poignant summation and beautiful self-portrait...wish you a happy anniversary...
First off: congrats on the anniversary.
Second off (can you say that?): As others have pointed out, great self-portrait. Mine usually end up like your unposted first attempts, so I envy this great shot.
Happy Anniversary Micki!!! :)
I wish you all the best for the future, hapiness and health for you and all your family :)
...and wow...I really loved the way you summarised your life :)

Happy anniversary! sometime life is not easy. but keep going;) god bless you:)
Happy anniversary ! You didn't changed that much!!! I like how you sumarized all those years separating those two pictures. You seem to have had a "full" life!
Congrats !
Looks like you traded flowers for a camera (good deal).
Congratulations on the anniversary! A nice format with the old and new. Also, thanks for the link on your site, I will put your link on mine and bookmark you @ beta.photoblogs.org. cheers
Happy Anniversary.
Looking forward to seeing some portraits. I love portraits too. Should be putting some up on my site too.
Happy Anniversary.
Nice...yeah nice pictures!
How quickly time passes in long lapse of time...
There's something about seeing portraits of other photographers with their cameras. I'm also glad to see people are still using film out there. I still have my Minolta X-300!

Happy Anniversary !
It's funny looking back...what might have been..would you want to do it all over again..you could start a trend here ! Perhaps there should be a "looking back" day.
You have managed to keep the same open and shy smile through the years, congratulations, it's a record with all these events.
Wow, this is really cool! :)
I'm a little so...I agree with everyone!
Try again...I forgot the the word "late" sorry...duh!
You look the same. However I like the "now" hair better. :)
Happy belated Anniversary Micki!
