Did I ever mention that yellow is my favorite color? It’s so freakin’ cheerful!!
On another cheerful note, my youngest son locked the girls and me out of the house Sunday afternoon while we were bringing in groceries. It was cold, windy and rainy. I could hear him laughing on the other side of the door while we tried to get him to open it up. It took 10 minutes before he did. It was kind of funny, because it happened just as I was saying, “Gee, (yes I still say gee) I hope Logan doesn’t lock us out of the house; I left my keys inside.” click
Just got done listening to Radar Love on the radio. That is my favorite drumming song, and I hope to learn it some day. It doesn’t sound like it will be that difficult to play, but it does sound like way too much fun and a great workout. Unfortunately, no one has tabbed it out or transcribed it yet. I guess I’ll have to have a go at it myself. I’ll just add that to the “list of things to do…book 2.” ;o)
Its a nice and bright image to brighten up the day with ;-)
i love yellow too! and m&m!
And a great job at capturing that yellow. :)
This is great. I thought about a month ago as I was chomping on some M&Ms that it would be awesome to take photos of the candies. You've captured them perfectly!
Love the bright color, great shot!
i like yellow too....do you drum as well?....7.5/10
Great still life. Did you eat all the other colors in the name of art as you collected the yellow ones?
LOL this is why my husband will not walk out of the house even for a second whith out keys lOL his son at 2 did the same thing LOL
Is that M&M's and spree's ? I know the M&MS LOL but some of them look like sprees
I'll take the m&m's please...Lovelt color yellow. I like yellow and white together. It's so pleasing and calming.
I got locked out when my son, 4 at the time, pulled the door shut behind us when we just went outside to get something from the car. I was 8 months pregnant and had to hoist him up through the window which was open luckily. He went and opened the door so all was well.
Weird, have not heard Radar Love on the radio for years and I don't listen to that much radio but I heard it a couple of days ago. Great song for driving to.
mmmmmmm! :-))
Well bad luck about getting locked out of the house. I thought Americans said Gee in situations when us brits woudl say "oh B***** H****". And talking about BH, I'm very envious about your trip to B&H Photo in NY. I have been a there a few times too..got very confused as to who was serving me as they were all wearing the same hat!
Just a tad bit further south and you'd know thems was yellar m&m's :-) Still right yummy.
Haha! Pick up the drums and play Radar Love.. You'd make a great rock star! I can already see your contract rider now:
4) Micki will ONLY accept YELLOW M&Ms. NO OTHER SUBSTITUTIONS!!
Beautiful, vibrant yellow. Well captured Micki.
Bright and cheery! and I love the story that went with it. Thank you for sharing.
thank you for visiting Raison D’etre and leaving a comment.
may I add you to my blogroll on Pieces of M.E. (there's more blogger traffic there than on Raison)?
Ah children aren't they fun? Gotta love it. So what I want to know, is what are the other candies in the photo besides the m&m's? They look a bit like a candy I loved as a child but can't remember the name too, it was this candy you could get in a roll, or smaller bags with photo images on them... sweet coating and tart inside, but not the brand sweet tarts.... I remember you could taste the food coloring too. OK, rambling, ta!
sprees! If I had read all the posts before I posted mine I would have seen that, :)
Bummer about being locked out. I can't imagine myself saying Gee. Haven't heard Radar Love in awhile. Must dig out some Golden Earing! I too love yellow, m&ms and candy.
Nice shot, Micki! Like the DOF !
Amazing how much can be inspired in so deceptively simple a shot : the Comments are as entertaining as the image and I now know those non-m&m’s I see are ‘Sprees’ ;-)
mellow yellow, great colour.
And apparently you like yellow m&ms too! This would make a great product shot.
Great shot Micki!!! Now I am going to be thinking about M&M's all day.
this one really have a nice colors, detail and dof:-)
Now that's a lotta yellow! Where are my sunglasses... :-)
Ha! yellow is my favourite colour, too. And how cool is it to combine the cheeriest of all colours with bk's favourite candy - m&m's... *happy sigh*
